A Million Little Ways

a million little ways

My sister wrote a book for you.

She’s written other books and they were very good and helped a lot of people. But this book, this new book…is for every one of us.

Here are what people who are not her big sister have to say about it….

a milion little quotes

The book is called A Million Little Ways: Uncover the Art You Were Made to Live. And simply put, it’s a book about how to be you. Fully. And live the life you were created to live. It about how to live life like an artist, not a checklist. In some ways it expands the word art, because most of us automatically think of painters and sculptors and drama instructors. What if we begin to recognize the art in our ordinary days? It’s freeing, inviting, truth and profoundly uncomplified. I can’t think of anything I’m writing about this month that will uncomplify your life more than the words in this book.

  1. Ah, I’m excited about this! I just placed my order for two books. My friend is going through an unwanted divorce right now and I’m hoping that this book will help her through so she’s getting my second copy. Now I’m off to see about joining that book club!

  2. I just bought it for my kindle. Looking forward to reading. I am sure it will be better than Googling “water skiing cats” at 4 a.m. Ha!

  3. Congrats to your sister!

  4. This post, your piccha, your affections for Emily, sharing about the Bloom book club and Sponsored book opportunities (WHICH WE NEED HELP ON!!!)…well…I’m thankful.

You are SO groovy. And OF COURSE you had to include a feather with your picture! But the lipstick? That split my heart wide open.

LOVE you (and Silly Girl, I already told you Emily wrote the book for ME!!!).

  5. I’ve just received my book and I am so looking forward to the book club!

  6. Alexa Young-Mills says

Thanks for the information about the book club. I have already started reading the book (the trailer made me order it immediately!), but it will be more fun to work through it with others.

  7. Just ordered my copy. Can’t wait to read it!

  8. I very seldom treat myself to a new book anymore (since I shop thrift stores so much), but this will be an exception! I am really looking forward to reading your sister’s book!

  9. Congratulations to your sister!
    Love the picture.

  10. Shawna Anderson says

Ok, I have a slightly random question for you, but I’ll start by saying I’ve already got the book & LOVE it like I LOVEboth you, the Nester, and Emily – been a LONG time reader of you both, and even better I’m ridiculously enthusiastic & excited to be joining y’all at The Barn, oh yeah, and totally got my hubs to come with. (Random side note, we both have attended your church a few times, before we even realized how close you actually live, OH and I found you both many years ago now thanks to your Dad via his radio gig LOL)… Where was I? Oh yeah, crazy fandemonium moment and random question… The polka dotted bed sheets (in the pic in this post)… LOVE them, any idea where they’re from? Thank you so much for sharing YOUR art with us, the bravery & courage that takes, from you Myquillyn, and Emily too, it’s such an encouragement & inspires me everyday :) OK, gushing over ;)

  11. This is really neat! I’m in a small group where we have “Craft Night” every other Friday and we do a small devotional. We were looking for an “Artist” devotional, but there’s really none out there! I’m forwarding this link to the leader! It sounds great!

  12. Dear Sweet Nester, Just ordered a couple of books. Can’t wait!

  13. I’m excited, I just bought mine today! Can’t wait to dig into it!

  14. Thanks for this! Just ordered my book. Xoxo

  15. I really appreciate the opportunity to be sponsored…such an amazing idea! I’m excited to hopefully get the opportunity to read it!!

  16. The assortment in your picture is just so random and beautiful all at once! I am excited about the book ( just received mine in the mail) and am looking forward to the book club. I have never partipated before but think it high time I do just that : )

  17. On p. 73 and loving it! I’ve already told my husband he has to read this when I’m finished. Definitely planning to do the book club for this one. Be prepared for potential gushing over this at Allume. And that cinnamon roll…. yummo!

  18. A motivating discussion is definitely worth comment. I do think that you ought to write
more about this subject matter, it may not be a taboo subject but generally people don’t talk about these
issues. To the next! All the best!!
