Layering is one of the easiest design techniques to copy. I find that lots of times we forget that we can put pretty stuff in front of other pretty stuff and it just enhances all of our favorite stuff.
I’m pretty sure that layering is my favorite method to work as many of my favorite things as I can into a room. I LOVE to layer!
To me layers create a cozy feeling.
You can use your much loved dishes and books and lamps and photos and art all in one place.
If you are renting, layering is a fast way to add texture and a focal point to a big empty wall.
And of course, you are never committed to one look.
Pillows can be layered.
