And a happy fall to you!

I’m so glad you’re stopping by today, I love having people over and I love fall decor, but after years of going overboard and buying way too much seasonal decor that I had to pack away and found myself dreading lugging out every year, I now keep it super simple and as fresh as possible so I don’t have to store anything.

I’m super picky about seasonal decor but I still want my porch and my entire home to feel like fall and give a nod to the season, I just can’t have it taking over my life.

My everyday porch decor is just this one statement planter, I filled it with Obsidian Coralbells at the beginning of the summer and they still look great even without the pampas grass, I love how the dried flower stalks look a tiny bit creepy.

A little stool with a green statement pumpkin keeps my chickens from pecking at it–at least so far it has.

I just pushed the ends of the dried pampas grass in with the Coralbells.

Oh and if you’re curious, the vine is an evergreen, Clematis Armandii. It’s growing like crazy right now so I’ll be cutting it back around the door soon, but it’s my favorite vine and doesn’t loose its leaves or change color and it flowers in the spring. It’s actually growing in the ground, not from the pot, long story.

For more simple, seasonal decor follow me on Instagram and, my latest book, Welcome Home: A Cozy Minimalist Guide to Decorating and Hosting All Year Round just released two weeks ago, read more about it here.
