Although it’s probably not Earth Day when you’re reading this, it happens to be Earth day as I’m writing this.
This year we are celebrating our home ? at home ?.
And since we are all spending more time at home, I’ve become a little more aware of everything we are using, and buying and how changing a few things can make a big difference.
We’ve made a few sustainable swaps recently, some by choice, others well, because paper towels are scarce!
A few ways we’ve limited what goes in and out:
Trading out paper towels for flour sack towels, woven dish cloths and sponges.
Using silicone straws instead of paper straws. Bonus, these straws come with a cute little bristle cleaner and their own storage bag. Not to mention, they’re PINK!
I’m also loving these cleaner concentrates that come in two delicious scents, I’m using orange rosemary. Instead of paying to have a bunch of water and a tiny percentage of cleaner to be shipped all over the place, I’m just paying for the main ingredients and I add water and the concentrate to a cute spray bottle here at home.
