Leather Bunting Banner Pennant Thing

I bought a package of scrap leather from Hobby lobby (don’t forget to use your 40% off coupon), punched through it with first a big staple, but that didn’t leave a big enough hole so I grabbed a nail from our floor installation. Then I used some leather thread and a needle to connect the triangles. The leather was pretty easy to cut just with my scissors.

Fall decor, unfussy and uncomplified.

Sweet! And if you know how to tool leather that would be cool too. I could definatelty see a floral paisley pattern on those at my house. *love*

  2. So simple and creative and now that I have a Hobby Lobby in my area I could make it a reality. Thanks for the inspiration!

  4. Simple. Easy. And fabulous on the wall. Just the little bit needed.
But…the scene of snow on the screen….I am so not ready for that!!! ;)
May your day be filled with Extraordinary blessings!

  5. Well done! I like that you used leather- that is so much more permanent and sturdy than paper, or even fabric. It also matches the tones in your dresser! You’ve definitely inspired me to do something equally creative and simple. Those little touches bring such life to a room!

  6. So fun! :)

  7. This would be really great in a boys room too!

  8. great addition to your wall and I love your tv stand.

  9. I love that you are taking the time to cut and hang a leather banner while your house undergoing major renovations! You walk in so much freedom with decorating. Thank you for sharing that freedom with us so beautifully.

  10. Love fussy and uncomplicated! I always tend to feel that if I haven’t spent endless hours on something, it isn’t right! Which is just plain frustrating.

  11. Seems like a really simple trick and it ends up looking great in the space. I bet you could also find some leather stamps and add a bit more detail to the pennants too.

  12. I like it. It’s seem simple and easy to put together and the simplicity of the look of it really does well. It doesn’t dominate the room like other fall decorations/colors.

  13. I love how you shove that awesome stool everywhere you want to take a picture. Ha.

  14. THAT is really, really cute. You are right it is simple and a bit rustic to me-xo Diana

  17. I’m loving your series! Weirdest thing though, since your October 17th post I would visit your blog (I have it bookmarked on my browser) and there would be nothing new showing up. I’d refresh, go to your home page, etc there was nothing new. I started worrying about you and your family because I knew that you wouldn’t stop participating in 31 Days unless something major happened! Then today I visited your site on my phone and it showed up and I realized I had missed several posts. When I got home I tried on my computer again and still the most recent post showing was October 17th. I cleared my history and cache and then it started working again. I’ve never had that happen before and maybe it was just me, but I thought I’d mention it in case you’ve had others that are having problems.

  18. I really like this. Simple yet effective fall decor.

  19. That is so great! I wish I could think outside the box like that. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

  20. Ooh, neato! We have a whole bunch of leather scraps my son picked up from a garage sale.

  21. Oh please, please, please tell me where you got your curtain hardware??? Please?? I’m pretty sure you mentioned getting the curtains at ikea, and i love them. But nice, muted brass hardware?? I’ve been searching for it and no luck! Will you share? I promise to only be temporarily devastated if you say they’re vintage or a thrift find. :)

  22. Oh I love your leather bunting. It puts such a sophisticated spin on the typical bunting banner. So lovely.
