purpose of home

I love pretty things as much {or more} than the next girl.  Which is exactly why I need to remind myself of this.  Happy Sunday, I hope you collect something today that no one can

  1. Love that quote. Such a great reminder of what life is all about. I also love that your post is short and sweet. I woke up this Sunday morning early so I could write mine. :) Short and sweet might be the way to go today.

  2. So very true, but it’s funny how a ‘THING’ can warm one’s heart as a reminder of a special moment, place or time in one’s life, home and memory.

  3. Great quote…today I went to church and collected moments of faith and fellowship that will stay with me through the week.

  4. Oh amen!

  5. Love this! I’m having a great time with the 31 day challenge. Thanks so much for hosting :)

  6. So beautiful! I love this. And, since I don’t want a hidden tattoo, I’ll have to think of something else to collect today… ;)
Thanks for your inspiring words to read every day! I added you to my blogroll – everyone should follow your blog!

  7. This post, beautiful and simple, speaks volumes. I love it, and just what I needed to hear. xo

  8. Yes, a great quote – copied it into my journal, to write it deep in my thoughts.
Are you familiar with Keri Smith? The writing looks like her type of font. Love her book, How To Be an Explorer of the World. A guess, but might be her quote.

  9. My comments never seem to actually post so I am trying again! Not sure what I am doing wrong! :(

I just love this thought today. A “hidden” collection… I will have to think on this one (since I don’t want tattoos!) ;)
Your words always inspire! I added you to my blogroll – everyone should read The Nester!

  10. Thanks for sharing this. I love to in a big kind of way. We did collect some unseeable things this morning with a family trip to the playground. Blue skies and birds singing. It was as close to perfect as it gets. <3

  11. Love this! Spent yesterday visiting my son in college. He has be gone just 2 weeks…but that is the longest span we have ever gone in 18yrs. Luckily he is only about an hour away so we can visit easily when we want. I collected several moments yesterday that I will cherish more than any things I could ever buy!

  12. Such wisdom in those few simple words! Perfect sentiment for today as it is Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada. ~Kerri, A Pop of Pretty

  13. I love that! One of my favorite moments of the day is when I relax on the floor and just watch my kids play all around me.

(And I love the collection of erasers on your pinterest board too.)

  14. so very, very true. I need to be reminded of that more. I’m addicted to pretty things.

    Thanks for sharing!

  15. Went to a craft fair with my mom-in-law today. Did a lot of looking (I rarely buy much at those types of things) but cherished the time with just her (no other siblings, and no babies). I did spend $3 on Christmas ornaments, but I would have been just as happy with today if I hadn’t bought anything. Honestly, having your words in my head from the past week really made me look critically at everything, even things I liked. “Would that make me happier to come to my house?” I thought. “Would I be happy to pass it on to my children in 50 years?” Through that lens, nothing really seemed important enough to buy. Thanks for this series – I’m looking forward to the rest of it!

  16. Absolutely collecting the moments and soaking them up.

  17. But I love collections!
My vintage children’s dishes are bringing me such nice moments to collect….!
    Your blog is lovely.
