Courage to Fail

They took that risk.

Is there a trail you’ve been waiting to blaze?
A timely reminder from this year’s Blissdom Conference.

Edited to add: this is not just a message for bloggers, it’s a message to inspire you to pursue your art no matter what that is, and hey, while you are at it, don’t forget that the internet is a great way to connect in many many ways, not just blogs.

Most people would rather be certain they’re miserable, than risk being happy.

  1. Thanks for posting this short but powerful video. As a new blogger, I know I felt like there were a million reasons NOT to put myself out there. I had mulled the idea of blogging over for quite a while and knew that I needed a creative outlet in my life that I was lacking. The hardest part was just doing it and hitting ‘publish’ for the first time. Regardless of what kind of success or life my blog may or may not take on, I have already gained a tremendous sense of empowerment and accomplishment.

Thank you for continuing to inspire and motivate women like me.

    Happy Fourth to all!

  2. When I hear this, I have to move past the fear of being buried in the thousands of blogs to simply take the chance to share what God has placed in me.
    Thank you.

  3. I’d love to find out more about the conference. I clicked on the links and it didn’t show particulars. Do you have a direct url that may?

  4. I am not a blogger, but I love the message in that song and video. I think anyone can get motivated by that message. Thanks for sharing!

    • yep, even though it was a blogging conference, to me the message is that you have something to offer and it’s worth the risk to share it, and hey, those numbers are pretty convincing that sharing it online is a great start!

  5. it’s gonna be so fun! y’all have a blast! happy fourth, friend.

  6. Thanks for that! It has been hard not to feel like a failure with blogging. I have had 10,000 views but only 20 followers and I think my blog lacks focus, but I just keep moving along because I like it. Thanks for the inspiration and God bless! I know that if I help only one person feel better or be inspired it will have been worth it. :)

  7. Love this message. For the longest time I debated whether or not to share my story with the world. Yes there are millions of blogs out there and mine is nothing fancy. It is a risk. BUT I made the decision that if I can inspire just ONE person with my story it is worth it in the end. Listen to your heart and God’s nudging and you can’t go wrong.

  8. Thank you for the inspiration!! That song is perfect on the 4th!
