This big, beautiful, full and luxurious wreath on my front door was made by one of my favorite friends in real life, Betsy . When I got it home, I just knew that I couldn’t use one of those run-of-the-mill metal wreath hangers for this work of berry and foliage art. Why not? Well, the first reason is because I always feel like the run-of-the-mill metal wreath hangers hang the wreath too high. The second reason is that I don’t have a run-of-the-mill metal wreath hanger.

Have the same issue? Here’s the solution.

Find the fattest ribbon that you have {this one’s from Valentine’s Day} and loop it around the wreath. A wide ribbon adds instant elegance to any wreath.

Then, hold the wreath up to your door at the height you want it. Have your son who turns eleven today, hold the wreath up for you while you climb up on a chair and nail a couple upholstery tacks in the top of the door through the ribbon. They are flat enough to still allow the door to close. If you have a metal door, you can use a couple of short screws with a flat head.

That’s it! Your wreath is now hung beautifully on a stunning non-run-of-the-mill wide ribbon.

If you want a voluptuous wreath like this. You can make one by adding to a wreath you already have {shop the house, scavenge the outdoors} or you can see if Betsy has any left at her etsy shop. We bartered for this one. I paid her a wreath’s worth of tassels and we each left feeling like we got the better end of the deal.
