I have loved the Coronata Star wallpaper for years, but it’s expensive. And it’s wallpaper.  And I have so enjoyed the many clever wallpaper hacks from stenciling ceilings to creating your own cut outs with fancy machines that I don’t own. These women are my heroes, one day I hope to be just like them. Unfortunately, I’m selectively lazy so I’ve been waiting it out to see if an easier solution would ever come along. And then this week, after clearing off my surfaces and getting rid of my beautiful distractions for the great 30 Days Without Home Accessories Experiment, I finally noticed that I had a project to finish.

And I had an easier way to get my Coronata Star look. It took 15 minutes and about $15.

star vinyl no need for wall paper

Finally. I finally found inexpensive vinyl stars in a whole slew of colors from Walls Need Love. The stars are actually symmetrical, I had to take that above photo at an angle to get rid of a glare, so they aren’t really tall and long like this picture but you get the idea.

And I popped them up on the tiniest ceiling in the house. No measuring, no gluing, no painting no pain. And if I start to hate them I can easily remove them. I only used about half a sheet of the stars so I can put the rest on gifts, randomly place them around the house, whatever.

Most awkward angle in the history of the world. Imagine me lying flat on the floor. But there’s not room because this space is so small, so imagine me lying flat on the floor on my back in the fetal position taking this photo. You are welcome. You are worth it. Done!
